Bake & Delicacy Show 2027 Set to Return with Three Days of Baking, Creativity and Opportunity
7–9 January 2027
The Bake & Delicacy Show 2027 is set to return for its 4th Edition from 7 to 9 January 2027, bringing together cake artists, bakers, pastry professionals, home-based businesses, culinary students, entrepreneurs and baking enthusiasts for three days dedicated to creativity, education and industry development.
Over the years, the Bake & Delicacy Show has been developed as more than a competition. The 2027 edition will continue that direction by creating a platform where members of the public can learn, experience new skills, discover businesses, meet professionals and celebrate the growing baking and cake-artistry community.
Four Cake Artistry Competitions
Competition will be one of the major attractions of the three-day programme, with four categories:
Wedding Cake • Dress the Cake • Sugar Flowers • Novelty Cake
Each category will award MVR 5,000 for first place, MVR 3,000 for second place and MVR 2,000 for third place, providing a total prize fund of MVR 10,000 per category and MVR 40,000 across all four competitions.
The competitions are intended to give both established and emerging artists an opportunity to demonstrate their technical ability, originality and creativity before a wider audience.
Live Masterclasses and Demonstrations
Education will be an important part of the 2027 show. A programme of live masterclasses and demonstrations is planned throughout the three days, giving visitors an opportunity to see techniques performed in real time.
Activities are expected to include live cookie decorating, live cupcake decorating, cake decorating demonstrations, sugar flower techniques, piping and finishing techniques, fondant work, pastry and dessert demonstrations, baking tips, product demonstrations and business-focused sessions.
The programme will also feature interactive activities and opportunities for visitors to engage directly with professionals from the industry.
A Platform for Home Bakers and Businesses
A major focus of the show will be providing greater visibility for people building businesses within the baking sector.
Home bakers, cake studios, bakeries, pastry businesses, ingredient suppliers, equipment suppliers, packaging companies, kitchenware businesses, food brands, culinary educators and training providers will have opportunities to showcase their products, services and expertise.
This business showcase will help entrepreneurs introduce their brands to new audiences while encouraging networking and collaboration across the industry.
Something for the Public Throughout the Three Days
Alongside the competitions and masterclasses, the programme is being developed to include creative decorating activities, baking challenges, product showcases, business networking, educational sessions, artist interactions, student and young-baker activities, industry discussions, awards and recognition, photo opportunities and other special activities.
The show is designed as a public-benefit initiative, with activities focused on education, skills development, entrepreneurship, exposure for small businesses and opportunities for emerging talent.
Young people and students will also be encouraged to explore baking and pastry not only as a hobby, but as a potential profession, creative career and business opportunity.
